Have you put any more thought into this? I think it's a great idea. I never thought about selling them in stores too. I bet some bookstores would allow you to. Great idea! biggrin

Jannah, I have never had a gift basket business, but I think it would go over very well. I would offer attractive gift baskets that were already made up and ready to go, and I would also have items that people could choose from to make up their own gift basket for any occasion. I know I enjoy making my own unless I´m in a hurry.

I think this is a great idea for a business. I have no personal experience with it, but I would talk with local bookstores, coffee shops, etc. and work out an arrangement to sell them there until you develop a following. Good luck!

I don't have a gift basket home business but I think it's a pretty neat idea. I know I always throw together a gift basket for a lot of people numerous times a year. I would love it if I could go somewhere and buy one already made.
I would offer a lot of different types and possibly let them pick what they want in the basket.

I've seen lots of articles online about starting a gift basket business and this really appeals to me. Been thinking about it a long time and would like to hear from others who can give me their honest opinion about how well this type of business has worked out for them.

Seems like overhead and inventory costs would be very low.
