I am not an accountant but what I would do is to study what my accountant is doing. If I can do my personal tax then I can surely make my own business tax with the right guidance. I would hire an accountant to prepare my business tax for once or twice and then I will study how to do it while he is preparing it.
I think that is a smart answer. You just don't know what you will miss. I am able to do mine because I was an accountant. I still check from time to time to see if I am missing anything.
I'll do my own personal taxes, but I wouldn't do my business taxes. There's too much to lose if I make a mistake, and I'm not that good of an accountant.
How many small business owners do their own income taxes? I went to a tax accountant and got some help at first. I can do mine now (I used to be an accountant prior to opening my own business). Do you know enough about the tax laws to do your own and save money?
