RE: Economy

Hi

Economics is the social science that analyzes the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. The term economics comes from the Ancient Greek οἰκονομία (oikonomia, "management of a household, administration") from οἶκος (oikos, "house") + νόμος (nomos, "custom" or "law"), hence "rules of the house(hold)". Current economic models emerged from the broader field of political economy in the late 19th century.

Thanks

I think debt collectors are struggling too.  They are buying bad debts from banks and stores and they aren't able to collect on it.  If you can't pay your bills, you can't pay them.

The economy seems to have picked up a tiny bit in Albuquerque, but it is terrible in the smaller towns throughout New Mexico.  There just isn´t any work to be had.

Try googling the phrase " telecommuting jobs" and see what pops up. Remember though, if you go the online job route, if you have to pay to get work, it's not a legitimate job.

I imagine that those in the debt collection industry and loan consolidation are probably doing very well. And of course the bankers, too. Don't forget the lawyers with the record bankruptcy filings.

I don't think it's picking up anywhere right now. Down here in Arizona it just seems to be stagnant. No growth, but no dying off either.

I don't think it's improving here in NY either. I know it's still pretty hard to get a loan or any type of financing to grow our small business. Sales are picking up but not by the percentage that we had hoped for.

Is the economy improving for small business?  I haven't seen any signs of it yet here in Philadelphia.
